Natures Renewable Energy Development Corp. (NAREDCO)

The Cagayan North Solar Power Plant, located in Brgys. Sta. Maria and Magapit in Lal-lo, Cagayan in Northern Luzon, is a joint venture between CleanTech Global Renewables, Inc. and ACEN Corporation through Natures Renewable Energy Development Corp. (NAREDCO). 

The project area of this plant is 116.24 hectares of flat land known for its high solar irradiance.  Equipped with 242,662 units of solar modules, 460 units of inverters, and 16 units of Medium Voltage Power Stations (MVPS),  Cagayan North Solar Power Plant has a capacity of 133.464 MWp (DC) and is capable of providing clean energy to 75,000 households. 

Project Milestone Dates

Start of Backfeed Energization: 27 August 2023

Start of Testing & Commissioning (Grid Injection): 5 November 2023

Upon completion of the milestones, it will be the largest solar power plant in the Philippines in terms of capacity. Currently, the project is undergoing mechanical completion.
